Platform Housing

The approach for this project follows a Whole House Retrofit principles including ‘Fabric First’ and ‘No Regrets’. This project will act as a pilot to the development of Platform Housing Limited’s Retrofit Programme with the aim of achieving net zero carbon by 2050.

All works and services carried out in conjunction with the contract were undertaken in compliance with PAS 2035:2019, PAS 2030:2019, and the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS). The Retrofit Academy and Midlands Net Zero Hub’s ‘Retrofit Protocol’ guidance were followed throughout the duration of the contract.

All works funded under the SHDF Wave 1 completed by 31 March 2023. Works for each property was determined by the designs produced consist of the following:

• Cavity Wall Insulation
• Loft insulation
• Windows and doors
• Air Source Heat Pump
• Solar PV
• Ventilation
• Air tightness testing
• Enabling works
